Job description 

We are looking for highly motivated research associates to join our talented scientific team to work on viral vaccine programs. Main activities and responsibilities

  • Develop and qualify virology and immunology assays to support IND filings and pipeline advancement in the R&D laboratory

  • Generate vaccine candidates by genetic engineering and perform preclinical studies

  • Perform molecular procedures such as DNA cloning, RT-PCR, and sequencing data analysis

  • Develop processes and protocols for vaccine virus production and evaluation of stability

  • Assist with the upkeep of the laboratory and prepare materials and reagents as needed

Education

  • BSc or MSc degree in Life Sciences with 0-5 years’ experience in academic or industrial settings

Skills required

  • Molecular biology techniques such as cDNA cloning, RT-PCR, and quantitative RT-PCR

  • Mammalian cell culture and virological techniques such as virus growth, purification, and plaque assays

  • Recombinant protein expression in E. coli, insect or mammalian cells is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
