    CEO

    Biao is the Fred C. Davison Distinguished University Chair in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia (UGA) and the inventor of Blue Lake’s PIV5 platform, currently on leave of absence. He has over 20 years of experience in vaccine research with over 70 peer-reviewed publications. Prior to being recruited to UGA, Dr. He was a tenured professor at Penn State University in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.

  • Gary Titus

    CFO

    Gary has over 25 years of experience as a finance professional in the biotech industry. He has previously served as CFO for several public and private biotech companies including UroGen Pharma (NASDAQ:URGN) which he took public in 2017, SciClone Pharma, and Kosan Biosciences (NASDAQ:KOSN) through its sale to Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2008.

    CSO

    Hong has over 20 years of R&D experience with vaccines and infectious disease therapies at AstraZeneca, MedImmune, and Aviron, including working on their FluMist (the first marketed intranasal vaccine) and RSV programs.

  • Samuel Wu, MD PhD

    Sam has over 20 years of experience in private and corporate venture capital, including with MedImmune Ventures. He has served as a board director for multiple biotechnology and medical device companies (public and private, including vaccine-focused).

  • Hank Radziewicz, MD MSCR

    CMO

    Hank is a board-certified infectious disease specialist and clinical trialist who trained at Duke University and Emory University. He has over 20 years of clinical experience and expertise in infectious disease and vaccines.

  • Marinka Tellier, PhD

    Chief Regulatory Officer

    Marinka has over 25 years of experience as a regulatory professional, including 7 years with NSF International and 15 years for the NIH/NIAID, where she was responsible for developing vaccines and anti-infectives. Her expertise covers all phases of biologics and drug development from preclinical through marketing, for global and start-up as well as government clients.

  • Helen Zhu, PhD MBA

    VP, Controller

    Helen has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance in the healthcare industry. She has previously served as CFO and Controller for Cardiovascular Clinical Sciences, a full-service clinical research organization, and obtained a PhD in Biochemistry prior to embarking on her finance career.

  • Jeffrey Almond, PhD

    Dr. Almond is a pre-eminent vaccinologist who has over 40 years of experience with vaccines and infectious diseases. He is currently a Visiting Professor of Microbiology at the University of Oxford, and was previously VP of Discovery and External R&D at Sanofi-Pasteur.

  • Phil Krause, MD

    Phil was the Deputy Director of the FDA Office of Vaccines Research and Review from 2011-2021. He currently serves on the board of directors of Mesoblast, and on the SABs of Centivax and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).

  • Margaret Liu, MD

    Dr. Liu is the CEO of Pax Therapeutics and a world-renowned expert in the fields of gene therapy, vaccines and immunotherapy. She is also an Adjunct Full Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at UCSF and a board director for Ipsen S.A and Macrogenics. Dr Liu has previously served as Executive Vice-Chair of the International Society of Vaccines, Vice-President of Vaccines and Gene Therapy at Chiron, and Senior Advisor in Vaccinology to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among other roles.

  • Paul Mendelman, MD

    Dr. Mendelmann is a clinical expert with 30 years of infectious disease experience. He has previously served as VP Medical of Takeda Vaccines, Chief Medical Officer of Ligocyte, and VP Clinical at MedImmune and Aviron, where he oversaw FluMist clinical development and worked on their RSV vaccine.

  • Edward Mocarski Jr, PhD

    Dr. Mocarski is a vaccine expert who was previously a Distinguished Fellow at MedImmune where he directed new pipeline vaccine research. He is also an Emeritus Professor at Stanford University, having served as the Chair of Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford, and has also served as a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Emory Vaccine Center.
