Blue Lake Biotechnology is a rapidly growing biotech startup dedicated to developing life-saving vaccines. As we continue to expand our operations and advance groundbreaking research, we are seeking a talented and experienced HR Director to join our team and help drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with our company's goals and objectives. Lead the development of HR policies and procedures that support our unique culture and foster employee engagement and retention.

  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing top talent to onboarding new hires. Work closely with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies. Implement programs to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees.

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters. Proactively address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment built on trust, respect, and collaboration.

  • Performance Management: Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development planning. Work with managers to identify performance improvement opportunities and implement appropriate interventions.

  • HR Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a safe and inclusive work environment.

  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to our benefits offerings to support employee well-being and satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities
